The High Performance Stabilised Payload is a compact, lightweight, day system specially configured for use on Mini UAV’s. The payload is integrated with a daylight channel consisting of a high resolution CCD camera.

The Payload provides the following main features:

  • High resolution and sensitivity
  • Light weight (Less then 0.9 kg)
  • Operation on a single power source (12 vdc)
  • Low power consumption (3 Watt nom)
  • Easy interface to the UAV
  • Rs-232/PWM communication with the UAV
  • Standard video output (PAL or NTSC)

The High Performance Stabilised Payload is a compact, lightweight, day system specially configured for use on Mini UAV’s. The payload is integrated with a daylight channel consisting of a high resolution CCD cameraconsists of a two (2) gimbal system stabilised in Roll and in elevation. All functions are controlled by a micro-computer, which receives commands and sends status messages through a bi-directional serial communication channel (RS-232/ or PWM).

Reliability

The payload can be deployed on a Peregrine mini UAV for more than 50 consecutive sorties before any contractor repair is required. The MTBF of the system is more than 2000 working hours.
