The Peregrine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System The Peregrine is a small, battery-powered, hand launched -or- bungee launched, back pack transportable, reusable and ultimately expendable, utonomous UAV system, consisting of:
- Three (3) air vehicles (AV)
- Ground Control Station (GCS)
- Field Support Kit (FSK)
- Support Equipment (SE)

The entire system can be assembled, readied for flight, launched in 5-10 minutes and operated by a two-man team. The ground control station (GCS) is controlled by a powerful P.C. The air vehicle transmits real time video imagery to the operator. The camera payload has the capability to pan, tilt and zoom with precision location required for airstrikes on selected targets. The operator has the ability to capture and store still and video images on the computer hard drive, including telemetry data (air vehicle altitude, speed data, time and coordinates of current imager view). Inflight re-tasking is available at all times during an active mission. The following table provides an overview of Peregrine and its capabilities, for further information please contact Fiona Southwell or Stephen Murphy, SMA Partners, on +61 (0)2 6557 4535 or via email at southwellmurphy@bigpond.com

The Vigilant Aerial Surveillance System
The Vigilant is an advanced aerial surveillance system, based on super-light stabilized imaging payloads, mounted on small and easy to operate tethered helium Aerostats (blimps). The Vigilant is a very low cost and high efficient real time video image gathering sub-systems. It provides online aerial picture, of high quality video, for daylight time, and thermal imaging for night vision.
According to advanced C4I concepts, the Vigilant architecture presents comprehensive standalone features for the local command, providing an “independent eye in the air”, remote controlled directly from the venue, with parallel direct communication to any C4I center.
In addition to the above main mission, the Vigilant units can be used in various applications:
- Traffic Control
- Coast and Border Control
- Fire Fighting
- Perimeter Security
- Event Security
The units are mobile and fast deployed. The Aerostat’s trailer can be towed by a standard SUV \ van, ready for takeoff within few minutes. The Vigilant is a cost effective observation system solution with a crew of only three (3) operators required per unit.
The proposed flight platform of the Vigilant, is a 30-feet tethered lowpressure helium Aerostat, is an ideal tool for security “birds-eye” surveillance mission. It operates in low altitude of approximately 500-1000 feet (150-300 m’), in a way that allows all other air operations. Low altitude position of the Vigilant will allow better observing angles of dense areas, as well as a better visibility threw fogy and cloudy atmosphere.
